How to read and interpret competitor pricing data in your RightPrice dashboard.

Price Data Overview

For each matched product, RightPrice shows you:

  • Current price at each retailer
  • Price history over time
  • Stock status where available
  • Your price position relative to competitors

Reading the Price Comparison

On the Product Page

You'll see a comparison table with:

Retailer Price Status Last Updated
Amazon £89.99 In Stock 2 hours ago
Currys £94.99 In Stock 3 hours ago
Argos £99.99 Low Stock 1 hour ago

Key Indicators

  • Green: Your price is competitive (at or below lowest)
  • Yellow: Your price is within 5% of competitors
  • Red: Your price is significantly higher

Price Metrics

Lowest Price

The cheapest current price across all tracked retailers.

Average Price

The mean price across all retailers with stock.

Price Range

The spread between lowest and highest competitor prices.

Your Position

Where your price sits in the market:

  • "Cheapest" - Below all competitors
  • "Competitive" - Within 5% of lowest
  • "Above market" - More than 5% above lowest

Stock Status

We track availability where possible:

  • In Stock: Available for delivery
  • Low Stock: Limited availability
  • Out of Stock: Currently unavailable
  • Unknown: Stock data not available

Why Prices Differ

Competitor prices vary due to:

  • Regional pricing strategies
  • Promotional periods
  • Stock levels
  • Shipping cost inclusions
